Spiral Feeding Machine 2

Screw Feeding Machine, also known as a screw conveyor or auger feeder, operates based on the principle of screw rotation to transport materials. Here is a detailed explanation of how it works:

Main Components

Screw Conveyor: This is the core component, consisting of a helical screw blade (auger) mounted on a shaft. The screw blade is usually made of high-strength steel to withstand the forces during material transportation.

Drive Unit: It provides the power to rotate the screw conveyor. The drive unit typically includes a motor and a speed reducer to adjust the rotation speed of the screw according to the material feeding requirements.

Trough or Tube: The screw conveyor is placed inside a trough or tube, which serves as a containment and guiding structure for the material being transported. The trough or tube can be made of various materials such as steel, plastic, or stainless steel, depending on the nature of the material and the application environment.

Working Process

Material Loading: The material to be transported is initially fed into the inlet of the Screw Feeding Machine. The inlet is usually located at one end of the trough or tube. The material can be in various forms, such as granules, powders, or small pieces.

Screw Rotation: Once the material is loaded, the drive unit starts to rotate the screw conveyor. As the screw rotates, the helical blades push the material along the length of the trough or tube. The pitch of the screw blades determines the distance the material travels with each rotation. A larger pitch means the material will be transported at a faster rate, while a smaller pitch provides more precise control over the feeding speed.

Material Transportation: The material being pushed by the screw blades moves in a helical path along the axis of the screw. The friction between the material and the inner surface of the trough or tube, as well as the friction between the material particles themselves, helps to maintain the movement of the material. The continuous rotation of the screw ensures a steady flow of material from the inlet to the outlet.

Material Discharge: At the other end of the Screw Feeding Machine, the material reaches the outlet and is discharged into the desired location, such as a storage bin, a processing unit, or another conveyor system.
